Are soft magnetic alloys mainly used for information processing?
Soft magnetic alloyswith high magnetic permeability and low coercivity are mainly used in the fields of information processing and energy conversion, such as pole shoes, magnetic conductors, magnetic shielding, rotors and stators of Permalloy Core motors, transformer and relay cores, and various magnetic components in communications, sensors, and records (watt-hour meters).
Such as industrial pure iron, Fe-Si alloy, Fe-Ni alloy, Fe-Al alloy, Fe-Si-Al alloy, Fe-Co alloy, etc. High magnetic induction saturation alloy, high magnetic permeability alloy, high square ratio alloy, constant magnetic permeability alloy, temperature compensation alloy, magnetostrictive alloy, etc.
The main methods to produce soft magnetic alloys with good magnetic properties are to control the chemical composition, proper manufacturing skills and annealing.
Soft ferromagnetic materials are magnetic only when they are subjected to a magnetizing force (for example, the magnetic field created when an electric current is passed through a wire surrounding a soft magnetic core). Soft ferromagnetic materials are often associated with electrical circuits, where they are used to amplify the magnetic flux created by the electric current. These materials can be used in both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) circuits.
Energy losses (in the magnetiC Core) in transmission and electrical appliances (e.g. motors and transformers) account for 3.4% of the total electricity consumption. Magnetic ferro-silicon steels are mainly used in such applications. 96% are used in motors and transformers. However, their magnetic properties are approaching saturation and are being replaced in critical applications where size and thermal performance are important.
