What are the applications of CT power supply?

2025-02-12

The power supply is mainly used in power lines, which can solve the problem that the equipment cannot obtain power supply in other ways.
1) High-voltage power transmission and distribution: Current induction power supply is mainly used in high-voltage power transmission and distribution fields that lack conventional power supply measures. In the power transmission and distribution network, the voltage is as high as 10KV-1150KV, and the working current is tens of amperes to thousands of amperes. Although there is huge power transmission, many intelligent electronic devices cannot be installed due to lack of electricity, or have to be equipped with expensive and bulky solar or wind power generation equipment, just like there is no drinkable water on the bank of the Yangtze River.
2) Smart grid field: With the development of smart grid, the demand for installing intelligent electronic devices on primary high-voltage equipment (such as overhead transmission lines, cables, ring main units, etc.) has increased, and the application of current sensing power supplies has become more and more extensive, including but not limited to: distribution automation, intelligent ring main units, overhead transmission lines and cable monitoring, high-voltage live maintenance tools and various other extended applications (such as field communication base stations, high-voltage transmission line indicator lights, etc.), such as: supporting power supplies for intelligent switch cabinets, ring main units and power transmission and distribution detection power supplies, special power supplies for fault indicators, etc.

Specific applications: distribution automation (distribution line fault indicator), outdoor intelligent switchgear, power online detection system (high-voltage transmission monitoring, cable status monitoring), power wireless temperature measurement system, active electronic transformer, high-voltage live working tools, other electronic equipment on high-voltage transmission lines (such as high-voltage transmission line indicator lights, etc.).
